Bambis

“Location, Location, Location”.  Chalet Bambis is one of the few genuinely ski-in ski-out properties in Méribel.  In the morning put your skis on at the front door and ski down to La Chaudanne, the main lift station. Perfect for catching the first lift. At the end of the day simply ski back to your front door.  The location gives Chalet Bambis an air of exclusivity. It is extremely private, in a magical setting amongst the trees, with spectacular mountain views from its expansive terrace.

The Chalet

You will have to pack sensible footwear for your trip but don’t be fooled into thinking that Chalet Bambis is in a remote location. A short walk across the Doran piste takes you down a small lane and then you find yourself in the town centre. Also on the opposite side of the piste from the chalet is the 5* Hotel Helios. The hotel has a wonderful sunny terrace bar and restaurant which is open all day and a luxury spa if you fancy being pampered.

Bambis has recently undergone major refurbishment and extension giving the chalet a more spacious and contemporary feel. The outdoor log fired sauna and Nordic hot-tub set in the trees is in a really magical setting. Over looked by no other chalets you have total privacy in the hot-tub surrounded by the snow covered trees. The large terrace is the perfect place to take in the far reaching views across to the Roc de Fer and La Face.

The open plan living / dining area is on the first floor of the property. This has been designed to make the most of the wonderful views. The large stone fireplace is the focal point of the bright room. There is a separate kitchen so that your chalet staff can give you complete privacy during dinner. On the second floor, just outside bedroom four is another small sitting area on an open plan mezzanine. This has a TV and comfortable sofa and desk, perfect if you need a quiet corner to read in or work whilst away.

Chalet Bambis is not a huge chalet, but what it lacks in size is more than made up for with its beautiful rustic yet stylish interiors and quite simply stunning location. An ideal chalet for a small group of friends or smaller family groups.   Chalets like Bambis are extremely rare, not just in Meribel but across the whole of Europe.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

The master bedroom with kingsize bed and en-suite bathroom (bath and separate shower) is on the top floor and is accessed by a staircase from the dining room.  Bambis has three bedrooms on the ground floor, plus a bunk room for children.  Room one has an en-suite bath and separate shower can be made up as a twin or a king double. Room two has an en-suite shower and fixed kingsize bed. Room three has an en-suite with shower and can be made up as a twin or king double.  The bunk room is a small room with fixed full sized bunks set into the wall. There is a separate bathroom with shower just across the hall.

Prices

Our prices include accommodation, breakfast, afternoon tea, children’s high tea (if appropriate), and drinks and canapés before a freshly prepared dinner on six nights. Wine, beer and soft drinks are complimentary throughout your stay. Our in-resort driving service is available from 8.30am  to 6.30pm every day, covering Méribel town.
